Aileen Stirling RA CRM L5 Dip. & Member of Professional Reflexology is an experienced & professional mobile reflexologist working in Halstead, Sudbury and across the wider Essex/Suffolk Border are.
I am a qualified Clinical Reflexologist. After many year of working as an HR Professional, I decided to follow my dreams and train as a reflexologist. I now hold a Level 5 Mastership which is the highest level of qualification for Reflexologists in the UK and incorporates anatomy, physiology and pathology. I trained at the Reflexology Academy in London under Hagar Basis who is one of the UK’s leading reflexologists. During the course I covered four specialist areas including infertility, pregnancy, hand reflexology and palliative care. |
I am also a volunteer complimentary therapist at my local hospice where I provide treatments within the hospice and the day therapy centre. I specialise in palliative & cancer care for patients offering respite, pain relief, comfort & support through reflexology. I am very passionate about this and grateful to be able to provide reflexology treatments to patients and their family members within this environment.
What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a holistic treatment that involves applying pressure to different areas of the hands and feet that correspond with all the organs, glands, tissues and muscles in your body.
Our bodies are created by energy lines that run throughout our whole being. These become blocked when we are in pain or feeling unwell. Our feet also contain thousands of pressure points and nerve endings which all correspond to a particular part of the body. Reflexology applies pressure to targeted areas of the feet that correspond with these channels and areas of our body sending a message to unblock and encourage the energy to flow freely again as well as helping to heal a whole array of niggling health issues. |
The unblocking of these energy lines and the ability to reduce pain using areas of the feet brings back a sense of well being and balance, whilst also encouraging the body's own healing response.
